MATForce
, the Yavapai County Substance Abuse Coalition, was created in March 2006 through an interagency agreement between the county Methamphetamine Advisory Task Force (MATForce), Youth Count, and Advocates for Positive Choices (APC). These three groups elected to join forces to collectively address substance abuse issues in Yavapai County.  Coalition members have been recruited to represent law enforcement, the business community, schools, youth, parents, the faith-based community, government, youth-serving agencies, media, healthcare agencies, and the treatment community.

Label Jars... Not People

This is a site about growing up with medical problems ...any ole type. Its goal is to help people understand what it's like, from the perspective of the children and teens who are doing just that. These kids have become experts at coping with problems that most of you have never heard of. They'd like you to know how they do it, and they hope that you'll be glad you came to visit. I've divided the contents into three ponds; one for kids, one for teens, and one for adults. Figure out which you are, and jump in!

Bandaides & Blackboards

Have you ever wondered what it's like to have a disability? How does a person who can't see read? Can a person with a physical disability play sports? If you couldn't hear, how would you talk with your friends? Do people with disabilities get frustrated, have friends, like ice cream? This website can help you begin to answer your questions about disabilities.

TimeBanks allow for people to share skills with others in their community and be rewarded for it- in time. These time tokens can then be exchanged when a member needs a service from someone else is in the TimeBank system. Or they can be banked for a rainy day. Or they can be granted to someone else who is in need. TimeBank exchanges have endless possibilities and transactions that range from one-to-one interactions to group activities.
